Our Partners
We are grateful for the many partners we have gotten thus far, whose support helps ensure the sustainability of our work.

Dr. Aham Onyike
Joint Replacement Surgeon, Georgetown Medstar Orthopaedic Institute, Washington DC. Co-founder OSWR, CASS
I have been blessed with the opportunity to practice Orthopaedic surgery at the highest levels in the United States. I am, therefore, obligated to deliver the same care to my own people. OSWR offers an opportunity to deliver Orthopaedics to many through teaching, collaboration, and humanitarian care.
I have many hopes. First is a multidisciplinary approach that safely provides excellent surgeries to as many patients as possible. Second, is to have successful educational and training sessions to transfer knowledge and skills. Third, to have and see very satisfied patients and therefore doctors. Finally to lay the groundwork to make this effort sustainable.

Dr. Julius K. Oni, MD FAAOS
Medical Director, Orthopaedics at Johns Hopkins Bayview Director, Global Orthopaedics at Johns Hopkins Co-founder OSWR
My vision is to increase access to quality musculoskeletal care in lower to middle income countries starting with Nigeria, and that vision inspired me to combine forces with Dr Aham Onyike and a few other individuals to co-found Operation Stand Walk Run. The combination of our resources and the incredible team we have around us has made this surgical mission possible.
My Hope is that this is only the beginning of many other initiatives that will bring our vision to life.

Dr. Nkem Okeke
My medical training began at NAUTH, Anambra State; and I hope to pay back by contributing as a consultant on healthcare workflow optimization, and care delivery business management.
I believe in the multidisciplinary approach in patient care and the live-saving surgeries that will be provided to patients, and knowledge transfer and skills to improve our Nigerian Healthcare workforce. I hope to provide any insight as needed from my areas of expertise.

Nnenna C Akomas, DPT, MScGHPM.
Doctor of Physical Therapy Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America.
I am excited to be aligned with Operation Stand-Walk-Run (OSWR) and the renowned American surgeons behind this mission not only because of the natural synergy that exists between Orthopedic surgeons and Physical Therapists but mainly because it is a surgical humanitarian mission aimed at bridging the gaps in the delivery of quality, equitable and accessible health care services in developing countries like Nigeria.

Dr. Gerald Chukwuemeka Oguzie, MD, FWACS, FMCORTHO
Consultant Orthopaedics & Trauma Surgeon. Specialist Arthroscopy, Arthroplasty & Joint Reconstruction
My purpose is to use my God-given talents and skills to serve God through humanity. I hope to through this mission put a smile on the face of patients who ordinarily have no hope to ever live without pain in their hips or knees due to lack of funds and support. I look forward to expanding our reach through OSWR to become a voice for the voiceless and give hope to our poor majority in Nigeria.

Elizabeth Jummai Chinweuba
(Creative Director, Professional PR Manager & Events Planner BGL PR & Events Ltd/ Founder Beliz Express)
Empathy, & Compassion got me attracted to this mission. It is beautiful to see and know that there are people of like mind who want the world to be better starting with our developing home country Nigeria. With over a decade of experience, I saw an opportunity to offer my level of expertise in ensuring that this mission is a huge success ‘with little or no challenges execution-wise.
I am hoping that my experience on this project will further give me a better knowledge of the medical world, and engage with patients, volunteers, participants, and surgeons to see, learn, and understand how this can have a lasting footprint in Nigeria and other African developing countries.

Umahi Ezinne
As a physiotherapist, I hope to enhance the quality of life of the patients by restoring movement and function.

Allyson Aron, BSN, RN, CNOR
My purpose in participating in this mission is to utilize my nursing skills to impact the lives of those who lack the resources we often take for granted. As an avid traveler, I enjoy experiencing different cultures, as well as opportunities to give back to them. My end goal is to build connections with my fellow teammates, as well as patients, and hopefully allow this mission to be the first of many with OSWR.

Dr. ‘Edozie Mbalewe
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Partner Cass Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation, Owerri
One of the foundational goals of Cass is Corporate Social Responsibility and making even our high-end services accessible to indigent patients. This programme is one of several ways we achieve that goal. It is my hope that in due course, wealthy individuals and cooperate entities would adopt a patient and sponsor his/ her treatment. In addition, I hope the programme would draw the attention of policymakers to the need to broaden and deepen health insurance coverage for citizens.
it is my hope that with this trans-continental collaboration, there would be an exchange of ideas for the benefit of our practices and, ultimately, our clients and patients.
